Digital industry veteran Kate Burns has joined IdentifAI’s team as vice-president for EMEA.
IdentifAI is an advanced AI-driven platform that detects and authenticates digital content, ensuring reliability by distinguishing genuine media from AI-generated or manipulated creations.
With over 25 years of experience in the digital industry, including 15 at C-Level, Burns has helped develop leading global companies such as Google, Dailymotion, AOL/Bebo, BuzzFeed and Brave Bison, as well as being the current CEO of 6 Seeds Consulting which she founded in 2021.
In her new role, Burns will lead IdentifAI’s business strategy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the objective of significant growth in regional revenue.

What attracted you to this role with IdentifAI.net?
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of media, content, and technology—whether that was building out Google’s early teams, investing in content at AOL, or scaling digital brands. IdentifAI is solving a massive, fast-growing challenge: helping people and companies verify what’s real in a world of AI-generated content. The tech is smart, the mission is clear, and the impact spans multiple industries. It was a natural next step.
Why is it important to distinguish between human and artificially-generated contributions online?
Because trust is at risk. AI-generated images and videos can be incredibly convincing—and their misuse affects all of us. It’s not just about deepfakes in media. It’s fake visual identities used to get around KYC, AI-manipulated evidence in insurance claims, or stolen content in the creator space. And equally important is giving creators a way to prove their work is authentically human.
